BCA Board of Directors

The Brownsburg Community Association is under the direction of a Board of Directors, consisting of nine members of the association.  Board Members serve 3-year terms and are elected by BCA members at the annual meeting in November.   Three Board Members are elected each year.   Officers are elected by the Board of Directors in January, and current officers are:

Ed Kirk, President

John Seigfried, Vice-President
Milton Reid, Treasurer
Dawn Kirk, Secretary

Other board members include: Janis Conlon, Brian Ross, and JR Rife.

Board Meetings:  BCA Board meetings are held at the Brownsburg Museum at 7:00 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month, and visitors are welcome to attend.


Ed Kirk served on the BCA Board a number of years ago and has agreed to come back for the 2015–2017 term.  Ed is the Director of the Biological Departments at REI Consultants which is an environmental consulting firm in Beckley, WV.  He lives on Dry Hollow Road.

John Siegfried.  John is the new owner of Wade’s Mill and is returning to America with his family after several years abroad.  Since it was difficult as a foreigner to participate in community associations he is looking forward to getting to know his neighbors while participating in community events.  He lives on Wade’s Mill Loop and is serving on the Board for the 2017-2019 term.

Milton Reid has lived in Brownsburg for 13 years and joined the Board (for a second time) in 2016.  He retired after some 40 years in the textile industry in 2010.  Milton enjoys being the yard an for his wife, Betsy, at their home, Sleepy Hollow.

Dawn Kirk joined the BCA Board in 2016 to fill a vacancy on the Board.  Dawn has lived in Brownsburg for 21 years.  She is the Fisheries Biologist fir the George Washington and Jefferson National Forests.  She and her husband, Ed, have raised their two daughters on Dry Hollow Road.

Janis Conlon joined the BCA Board in 2016.  Janis and her husband, John, moved to Rockbridge County in August 2015 from Draper, VA.  They are the owners of Ridge Valley Alpacas on Sterrett Road.
