The Brownsburg Community Association announces sponsors for first annual Run of the Mill 5K race.

Celebrate the last of the Autumn colors while supporting the causes which are dear to the Brownsburg Community Association. Join your friends and neighbors on November 4, 2017 in “downtown” Brownsburg for the start of the First Annual “Run of the Mill” 5k road race. Run, Walk or Jog and enjoy the morning in one of the most beautiful places in Rockbridge County. Lots of prizes at the finish line and shuttle buses to bring you back to Brownsburg after the race.
Race Start Location: Brownsburg, Virginia near to Asbury Church and Science Academy.
Directions: Coming South or North on I-81 take Exit 200 and head west on Sterrett Rd until you arrive in Brownsburg.
Course Description: A Point to Point race in slightly hilly terrain through farmland, crossing Hays Creek on various occasions and arriving at Wade’s Mill.
Other Info: Awards and activities will take place at the Finish. Shuttle buses will return runners to the start of the race.
Awards: Top three male and top three female finishers will receive prizes. The top three in all age groups will receive medals.
Proceeds: Benefit the Brownsburg Community Association and the community projects and events the BCA supports.
Entry Cost information: $20 prior to 25th October and $25 after 25th October. All pre-registered entrants receive the iconic ‘Run of the Mill’ T-Shirt.

Pre Race Packet Pickup at Wade’s Mill on Thursday 2nd Nov and Friday 3rd November from 10-5pm. Friends and Family members may collect bibs and race packets for other runners provided they have a copy of the entrants ID.
Parking at the Start in Brownsburg is at the Old School House or Asbury Church. Parking at the Finish Line is in the field across from Wades Mill.
Strollers and baby joggers are welcome but must start at the back of the pack as a safety precaution for other participants. For the safety of our participants, pets will not be permitted to participate. Thank you for your understanding.
All Funds raised from this event go to the Brownsburg Community Association and will be used for scholarships at local schools, support for care giving in the community and other causes which promote community in Northern Rockbridge County.
